In an interview with username, Jesse was asked, “You were positioned as this perfect ideation of masculinity. How did this affect your body image or your sense of yourself as a whole? “

“Being a sex symbol depends a lot on the roles you play and my roles put me on a pedestal. But my appearance has also been criticized and criticized by many people in the media. Have your shirt in every episode of Housewives brought a lot of pressure ”, Jesse noted.

He continued, “You have to stay in the best shape you can and then between projects everyone expects you to stay in that shape 24/7. It is not realistic. That’s why the paparazzi catch actors between projects that seem “out of shape” – they take time off and that includes the gym. You can exercise your body in the ground, not to mention the other things male actors do to stay in shape.

Jesse said the perception affected him by getting started on other projects.

“I was definitely caged by it. The industry tends to think that if you look a certain way, that’s all you have to offer. The best thing I could have done then was to be patient, which I was not. I did a bunch of indie movies that didn’t work and should have kept my nose clean, so to speak. Between jobs, I just didn’t know what to do with myself, ”he said.

Earlier this year, Jesse left his current show after five seasons.
