This year the gallery will feature solo exhibitions by two former Chatham-Kent residents, Colleen Schindler-Lynch and Grahame Lynch.

In his exhibition, Daemon & Saudade, Schindler-Lynch will take the viewer to the intersection of fashion and fine art.

“Beautifully crafted and well-crafted dresses fill the gallery spaces, along with handmade embellishments, embroidery and photography,” the gallery said in a statement. “The artist uses clothing as a medium to create pathways to loss and healing.”

New photographic works by Lynch will be exhibited in the mezzanine.

Being. Neither Here Nor There began as a project involving thousands of photographs taken in cityscapes and edited during the pandemic.

He has created a body of work that examines the transient nature of the spaces people tend to create and inhabit.

The doors of the gallery will open to the public on Saturday. A reception for the artists will take place as part of the Summer ARTcrawl on July 29.

Adult workshops will also be offered with the two artists later this summer. Further information and registration will be available at www.tagartspace.com.

These family exhibitions run until August 27. Admission is by donation. Normal gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
