David M. Long, 51, of Jamestown, died at his home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
Born July 11, 1970, in Jamestown, son of Cheryl Glair Swart of Gerry and Ruedell “Valley” (Lynn) Long from Gibsonville, NC
He graduated from the Jamestown High School class in 1988, attended Jamestown Community College, and received a BA in Arts Education from SUNY New Paltz.
David was employed as a machinist for SKF, Falconer for 25 years.
He loved photography, collecting old cameras, playing golf, taking meticulous care of his house and taking care of his cats: Luke and Leia.
Brother of Jason (EunHee), uncle of Maya and Thomas Long, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson: of the late Royal and Betty Ericksen Glair; nephew of Lori (Tom Hays) Hullett of Jamestown, Doug (Patricia Burkett) Glair of Bunn, North Carolina, and the late Daniel and David Glair; cousin of Shannon (William) Sallard and Morgan Hays. Also survived by many friends.
Visitations will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, ending with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or the Park United Methodist Church.
