“Bill Cunningham Was There” with John Kurdewan and Steven Stolman

Bill Cunningham “made fashion photography its own branch of cultural anthropology on the streets of New York” (The New York Times). Authors John Kurdewan and Steven Stolman present their new coffee table book about the beloved photographer, Bill Cunningham was there (Rizzoli, 2021), from their conversation about “Working for Bill” at the Museum nearly two years ago. Author and journalist Amy Fine Collins will introduce their remarks.

Nearly two years ago, John Kurdewan and Steven Stolman began their conversation about “Working for Bill” at the Museum of the City of New York. This conversation eventually turned into a book, Bill Cunningham was there (Rizzoli, 2021). Join us in person for the co-authors’ first New York presentation and book signing of the singular Cunningham, “who turned fashion photography into his own branch of cultural anthropology on the streets of New York” (NY Times).
